Oasa
The Zen Garden · seven stages

Your work, in plant form.

The Garden is what your weeks look like, drawn in moss and soil. Every Seed you harvest, every Tend session you complete, the Garden notices. Take a week off — it waits patiently. It never shrinks.

Day 1

A patch of soil

You install Oasa. The Garden is just bare, calm earth. No pressure. No empty-state guilt. The seeds are in your hands.

You opened Oasa
Oasa Zen Garden, stage 2 of 7: First sprout
Stage 02 / 7

After your first harvest

First sprout

Complete one Seed and a single green sprout breaks the soil. It is small. It is enough.

Harvest #1
Oasa Zen Garden, stage 3 of 7: A small grove
Stage 03 / 7

A handful of harvests in

A small grove

A few more Seeds harvested. The grove begins to gather around your most-tended Oases. Patterns appear.

Oasa Zen Garden, stage 4 of 7: Garden takes shape
Stage 04 / 7

After several Tend sessions

Garden takes shape

Stones, paths, the first taller plant — the Garden becomes recognisably yours. Progress that you can see, not just numbers.

15+ Tend sessions
Oasa Zen Garden, stage 5 of 7: Steady rhythm
Stage 05 / 7

A few weeks of practice

Steady rhythm

Wildflowers, denser canopy, a sense of quiet abundance. You've found your rhythm of planting and harvesting.

Oasa Zen Garden, stage 6 of 7: Flourishing
Stage 06 / 7

A season of focused work

Flourishing

Mature trees, a path you laid through the practice. The garden reflects months of small, kind choices.

Stage 07 / 7

Long-term, no end

A garden of your own

The growth math

Simple rules, written down on purpose. No mystery boxes.

You should always know what makes your Garden grow. There’s no algorithm guessing at your mood, no “engagement score”, and absolutely nothing hidden. Three actions add growth. Nothing takes it away.

+1

Plant

Every Seed you plant places a fresh sapling in the bed. Quiet, hopeful, no commitment.

+3

Tend

Each completed Tend session adds moss, undergrowth and rhythm — the visible texture of focus.

+5

Harvest

Finishing a Seed plants the tallest growth — a tree, a stone, a path. The marker of real work, done.

What does not shrink the Garden

Calmly written, deliberately exhaustive. If it’s on this list, the Garden does not care.

  • Missing a day. Or a week. Or a season.
  • Ending a Tend session early. Effort still counts.
  • Letting a Seed rest, scatter, or be let go.
  • Closing an Oasis (laying it fallow). The Garden remembers.
  • Anything, ever, done by anyone other than you.

There is no exception. There is no asterisk. There is no “but”.

Same event. Two reactions.

A streak is a thin glass thread. A garden is soil.

Watch what happens in two productivity systems when you miss one Tuesday after a great month. Same human, same week — entirely different message.

Your Garden, mid-season — densely tended.
Steady rhythm. The Garden notices each Tend session.

One system models work as a fragile sequence to defend. The other models it as something you tend. We picked the one where coming back after a hard week feels like returning to a place, not rebuilding from zero.

The four principles

The rules of the Garden, in four lines.

01

It only grows.

No matter what you do, the Garden cannot lose what is already there. Subtraction has no place in calm productivity.

02

It is private to you.

No leaderboards, no public sharing, no follower count. The Garden is for the person who tended it.

03

It rewards depth, not frequency.

A single focused Tend is worth more than ten quick check-ins. Fewer Seeds, deeper roots.

04

It is honest.

Every growth rule is written above. There is no opaque algorithm guessing at your mood — only your own actions, weighted clearly.

A productivity practice, not a performance

Plant your first Seed. See where it grows.

Oasa is free, private, and made for the part of you that wants to do meaningful work without being shouted at. Your Garden is waiting.
